The Principal Clerk, Most Rev. Prof. Miracle Ajah Calls for Peace with God
The Principal Clerk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria (PCN) has called on all Presbyterians to embrace peace with God as Christians celebrate what he described as the greatest birthday in history, the birth of Jesus Christ.
He made this call on 17 December 2025 during the official closing ceremony of the General Assembly Office held in the General Assembly, Aba Office.
Speaking in a homily, during the closing ceremony and communion service, the Principal Clerk emphasised that the essence of Christmas goes beyond celebrations and festivities, pointing instead to reconciliation between God and humanity through Jesus Christ.
He noted that Christ’s birth ushered in peace, hope, and restoration, urging believers and the wider public to respond by seeking a right relationship with God. According to him, true peace begins when individuals accept God’s gift of salvation and live in obedience to His will. He reminded staff, church leaders, and worshippers present that Christmas remains a call to spiritual renewal, forgiveness, and purposeful living.
The closing ceremony featured prayers, merriment, and testimonies of the Lord’s goodness, marking the end of official activities at the General Assembly Office for the year, 2025.
